The founder of cult-favorite SLT opens the first Westchester location of assisted-stretching-and-recovery facility Stretch*d.
As our lives have become increasingly sedentary (after all, how many steps does it really take to go from your kitchen to your home office?), our bodies pay the price, suffering the aches and pains that result from chronic limitations of motion and activity. SLT founder Amanda Freeman and Vanessa Chu opened Stretch*d in Rye Brook (13 Rye Ridge Plaza), the brand’s first Westchester location, to help ameliorate stiffness and tight joints through one-on-one assisted-stretching sessions. Stretch*d, which officially opened in late February, before COVID compelled business closures, offers 25-, 55-, and 70-minute one-on-one dynamic, assisted-stretch sessions in its 1,600 sq. ft. facility, which boasts six semiprivate stretch rooms and a recovery lounge. Experts offer customized experiences, using dynamic stretching methods to increase flexibility and expand range of motion. Virtual stretch sessions (Homestretch*d) are available, as well. In addition, Stretch*d offers CBD and Hypervolt massages (Get Relax*d and Get Buzz*d), NormaTec compression boots (Get Puls*d), LightStim LED Facials (Anti*Aging), and, more recently, debuted the Body Roll*r, a hands-free lymphatic massage that can relieve muscle tension and stimulate lymphatic drainage, helping to reduce cellulite and eliminate toxins.
