4 Places to Purchase Sports Cards in Westchester

On the hunt for sports cards in Westchester County? Here's where to turn to find top selections and scout out new additions to your collection.

You used to get just a few cards and a stick of gum. Now, you can get a few cards and an opportunity to change your life. With buying, selling, and trading sports cards now becoming one of the biggest hobbies in the world, we went on the hunt and found the best places in Westchester to rip open a pack of cards.

American Legends

1107 Central Park Ave, Scarsdale; 914.725.2225

American Legends has been a staple for sports cards in Westchester County since 1992. Located on Central Park Avenue in the heart of Scarsdale, American Legends offers a plethora of options from single cards to sealed wax and even some memorabilia. The store even has some of the rarest cards in the world in stock. American Legends is possibly one of the most well-known stores, not just in Westchester County, but in the entire state. So, whether you’re in the market for a 1909-11 T206 card (the same set where the Honus Wagner T206 card sold for $6.6 million) or an autographed Kobe Bryant card, American Legends is the place for you.

The Card Shop

428 Main St, Armonk; 914.219.5198

The Card Shop picked up steam when it started to do live breaks online. For those who do not know, a break is when you buy a team and, when the shop opens the cards, you receive all the cards of the players that are on your purchased team. Since then, The Card Shop has gone brick-and-mortar with two locations, one in Westchester and the other in Greenwich. The store carries a plethora of items ranging from baseball to soccer and UFC cards. It also has a huge stock of Pokémon cards (P.S. Keep your eyes out for a Charizard).

Diane and Randy Fisher opened Perfectly Centered in 1989 in Roselle Park, New Jersey. However, after 32 years, Randy was not able to continue working and the store was taken over by his daughter, Corrine Fisher, a successful standup comedian. Fisher, with the help of fellow comedian John Campanelli, decided to move the store to Westchester, specifically Larchmont. Perfectly Centered carries everything from modern sports cards to non-sports cards and even movie posters. Fisher says, “My goal with this new iteration of Perfectly Centered is to continue to share my dad’s love of collecting with people new and old to the hobby and to encourage more women to get into sports cards.”

Primetime Collect

10-B South Broadway, Irvington; 914.364.0008

Primetime Collect, located on South Broadway in Irvington, opened in the latter part of 2021 and has already made a splash in the Westchester sports card game. Specializing in newer, modern sports cards, Primetime Collect is your place to go if you’re trying to pull a 2020 Panini Silver Prizm Joe Burrow Rookie card or a 2020-21 Panini Donruss Optic LaMelo Ball Rated Rookie card. On top of that, Primetime Collect has an amazing selection of memorabilia, watches, Funko Pops, and some of the newest sneakers.
