Some Of The Dead Cats Found In Yonkers Were Beaten, Says The SPCA

Some of the cats that were left hanging in plastic bags in Yonkers and discovered this past Thursday were found to have been killed by head trauma.

The Journals News reported early Friday that an investigator on the case found that “at least some” of the cats were killed by blows to the head, and that an investigator said two shovels, a metal pipe, and a baseball bat were found in the area near the bags.

Sanitation workers were confronted by the grisly scene Thursday when they stumbled upon 25 dead cats hanging from trees in Yonkers. Each cat was inside a plastic bag tied to a tree branch. The workers were doing their annual cleanup of the area.
