Forget the reservations: Celebrate at home in Westchester with fab rentable table settings and decorations from hip, all-in-one service Social Studies.
If a prix fixe meal and crowded restaurant isn’t for you and your Valentine, bring the celebration in, at your own home, with the help of this Brooklyn-based tablescape delivery company.
Social Studies, considered a “Rent the Runway for dinner parties,” offers rentable partyscapes, including decorative plates, glasses, silverware, florals, custom menus, and place cards for a dinner for two — or 100.
The tablescapes, shippable to Westchester and currently exclusive to the tri-state area, will arrive in a box at your front door a day or two before your celebration — you just have to set the table. Each package comes with tips, tricks, playlists, and recipes (and an extra place setting in case of an emergency) for hosting the perfect soiree — minus the meal. The morning after the party, Social Studies will pick up the settings.
The Valentine’s Day theme features dinner plates and salad plates, napkins, a delicate runner, coaster, and candleholders and candles, and optional white preserved fern for a romantic fire-light dinner or Insta-worthy Galentine’s Day celebration. There’s even a brand-new table setting called “Pink Splatter,” with its own accompanying Spotify playlist.
A package for two is $50 per guest and also includes Date Night gifts: chocolate lips from Maggie Louise Confections, heart confetti, flowers, and a candle. Packages for four or more are $30 per person.
The company also offers tablescapes for any gathering — an evening in for two, a birthday party, bridal shower, and holiday party.
