In addition to body treatments, waxing, and spray tanning, Skinchanted (1016 Brown St, Ste 303, Peekskill 914-930-1421; skinchantedspa.com), a day spa with a “vintage cottage” vibe, offers facials specifically designed for cancer patients. “People undergoing treatment often have raw, chafed skin,” says owner Kerry Kourie, one of only a few hundred in the country certified as an oncology aesthetician. “I give them a little TLC, and they end up looking and feeling great.” The spa also sells natural and handmade products, as well as locally made boutique items.
