Scarsdale Welcomes a New Sleek, Professional Soundstage

It’s lights, camera, action in Scarsdale. Located at 135 Summerfield Street, Azure Stages just opened its doors — a facility that will be utilized by the film, video production, and photography industries for everything from shooting films and commercials to event and modeling photography, special effects, and media tours. The innovative space is flexible to a wide range of projects and budgets, and can be modified to fit various production requirements.

“At Azure Stages, our mission is to bring your creative vision to life in a new facility equipped for the current demands of video, film and photographic professionals,” says Robert DePalma, co-founder of Azure Stages. “Conveniently located in Westchester County, NY, we are pleased to provide the space and tools to help our clients create their content in the most inspiring environment possible.”

Azure Stages works closely with acclaimed camera crews, editors, and photographers to facilitate on-site productions. Features of the Scarsdale space include a pre-lit green cyc wall, a large cyclorama wall that can be painted to suit a variety of needs, and an industrial-style office set. Amenities also include a control room, full light grid, editing suites, makeup room, and a kitchen. Azure’s available services include production crews, a supply of production equipment, craft services, lighting packages, photographers, a sound booth, and a wide array of backdrops.

For co-founder Joe Piacentino, bringing Azure Stages to Scarsdale in particular was a smart business move. “Being in the production industry for many years, we saw a gap in this regional market outside of NYC,” explains Placentino. “The area needed a professional space for video and film production, so we created Azure Stages.”

According to Natasha Caputo, Director of Westchester County Tourism & Film, Azure Stages is yet another facet of an already local flourishing industry. “The film industry is thriving and growing in Westchester, generating over $30 million of economic impact to the county,” notes Caputo. “The opening of Azure Stages and its production facility builds visibility and increases business to the county.”
