When the Cooking Channel’s Road Trip with G. Garvin program planned an episode on southern-inspired food destinations in New York State, the Rye Roadhouse was high on their list.
“They contacted us and we were of course happy to be involved,” says Roadhouse co-owner Kevin Campbell.
Rye Roadhouse’s chef, Aaron Monis, prepared Big Joe’s jambalaya, blackened gator nuggets, and succulent bacon explosion sliders (grilled sausage wrapped in bacon and cut into sliders) for host Gerry “G” Garvin. The episode also features Chef Ayala Donchin serving up decadent desserts at Evelyn’s Kitchen in Harlem, including her signature cookies, Pudgies, plus black skillet chicken from the famed Peaches in Brooklyn.
You can catch the show June 18th at 1 am and 9 pm, June 21 at 6 pm, and June 22 at 1:30 pm on www.cookingchanneltv.com/shows/road-trip-with-g-garvin.html.
