The brand’s New York flagship store heads to the Cross County Center in Yonkers, much to the delight of local shoppers.
Rihanna’s success as a performer, human rights advocate, and fashion designer has skyrocketed her to the status of “Second-Richest Female Entertainer,” globally. In 2018, while still an award-winning musician and having triumphed with her makeup line, Fenty, Rihanna launched Savage X Fenty, her lingerie-and-active-wear line. Now, Westchesterites can head to the brand’s latest brick-and-mortar, the first in the state, set to open in the Cross County Center this spring.
“The Savage X Fenty brand has disrupted the lingerie sector, and we are excited that Cross County Center has been selected for the company’s flagship location in New York,” says Craig Deitelzweig, CEO/president of Marx Realty, which co-owns the property with Benenson Capital Partners. “The brand adds a fresh, pop-culture vibe to the center, which is already brimming with well-known brands.”
Savage X Fenty signed a long-term lease at a familiar corner of the shopping center, the space previously occupied by New York & Company, and will have 3,275 square feet of space. The store will undergo construction and redesigning to fit the clothing line’s theme and vibe.
“This is one of a small handful of brick-and-mortar locations for Savage X Fenty, and the fact that the team chose Cross County Center speaks volumes about the Center’s strong appeal for well-known, celebrated brands,” says Deitelzweig. “Savage X Fenty wanted to be associated with one of the best retail centers in the country and was impressed by the caliber and performance of our current retailers.”
Cross County Center was the first open-air center in the U.S. when it debuted in 1954. Savage X Fenty will join the ranks of the shopping center’s anchor stores: Forever 21, Target, and Zara, in addition to 40,000 square feet being leased by a satellite of SUNY Westchester Community College.
“As we look ahead to the next evolution of the Cross County Center experience, it continues to dominate as one of the nation’s premiere mixed-use centers, attracting a wide variety of best-in-class retail, restaurant, and office users, and we’re thrilled to welcome Savage X Fenty to the mix,” says Jim Stifel, chief investment officer at Benenson Capital.

The brick-and-mortar store will deviate from the subscription-only model that Savage X Fenty uses online. Instead, customers can purchase items whether they have a monthly subscription to the brand or not. However, those who do pay for the monthly credits will receive extra in-store perks: all VIP-membership perks and pricing will be honored in-store, including, but not limited to, membership pricing. This will be Savage X Fenty’s sixth brick-and-mortar in the country, with outposts in Las Vegas, Houston, Philadelphia, Culver City, CA, and Arlington, VA.
