Pace University has appointed David Yassky dean of Pace Law School, effective April 1, 2014. He succeeds Michelle S. Simon, who served as dean for the past seven years and will return as a full-time faculty member. A graduate of Yale Law School and Princeton University, Yassky most recently served for four years in the Bloomberg administration as Chair of the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission. He also served for eight years in the New York City Council and held numerous positions in government service, private practice and academia.
Samantha A. Lyons has joined the law firm of Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP, with offices in White Plains and Somers, N.Y., as an associate attorney. Ms. Lyons’ practice areas include elder law, Medicaid planning, and home health care. Prior to Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, Ms. Lyons was a law clerk for the Westchester County Board of Legislators with additional experience working for the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, the Honorable John Colangelo of the Westchester Supreme Court, and the White Plains and Yonkers Family Courts. Ms. Lyons received a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Pace University and a J.D. from the Pace University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
