Red Fox Art Gallery Makes Its Grand Debut in Bedford

Formerly located in Pound Ridge, the gallery shows off its new location with an exciting partnership and a rosy exhibit.

The popular Red Fox Art Gallery founded by Bernadette Durham, previously located in Pound Ridge, has moved to Bedford in partnership with architect Carol Kurth. They opened the new space in Kurth’s office with The Pink Show featuring artists from around the globe, many with a rose-colored palette perfect for Valentine’s Day and beyond. Select works from Fernanda Lavera, LayerCake, and Yul Vazquez sit alongside pieces from emerging artists like photographer Jason Kurth, and Guacolda and Delphine Perlstein, two up-and-coming Parisian artists.

“The intersection of art, architecture, and interiors has always inspired me, as each element enhances the other in creating spaces that truly resonate,” says Carol Kurth, FAIA, ASID, principal of Carol Kurth Architecture + Interiors. “Collaborating with Bernadette Durham of Red Fox Gallery is an exciting opportunity to explore this synergy further. Her incredible knowledge of art and the diverse breadth of artists she represents, combined with talented creators I’ve met sourcing art for clients, will bring a unique and curated perspective to the gallery.”

Founded in 2012, Red Fox has always been dedicated to showcasing dynamic and talented contemporary artists from all around the world— including Argentina, France, and New York— and this new partnership will further expand its reach in the area.

“Collaborating with Carol Kurth, celebrated for her meticulous attention to detail, has been a natural synergy. Together, we strive to ensure our clients’ personal style is not only met but truly heard, creating spaces that reflect their vision with authenticity and harmony,” says Durham. “Carol and I are also working on a couple of exciting shows for early 2025, exploring color theory and light, with a curated selection of works that embody these concepts with ingenuity and depth.”

In addition to presenting more curated art shows this year, Durham and Kurth will be hosting interactive talks and meet-the-artist events, encouraging the community to engage in the creative process.
