Peekskill’s newest attraction is officially open for business, following the grand opening on June 20 of Spins Hudson, a 40,000 square foot arcade and entertainment center located in the old Charles Point Marina.
The complex is a joint venture between Spins Bowl — which already has four New York locations in Carmel, Mount Kisco, Poughkeepsie, and Wappingers Falls — and Peekskill developer Louie Lanza’s Hudson Valley Hospitality Group, which operates several local venues including The Hudson Room and Taco Dive Bar, and has been a major player in the push to revitalize and expand Peekskill as a cultural destination.
Already open for summer hours are the indoor bocce and shuffleboard courts, “Redemption Arcade” featuring over fifty modern and classic video games, the 5,000 square foot, two-story laser tag arena (complete with towers and fog machines), and the chief attraction: a 40,000 square foot rope course with two indoor levels, four outdoor levels, and 70 different elements from balance beams to zip-lines. Prices range from $8-39 depending on attraction, duration, participant’s age, and peak/off-peak times and days. Party packages including pizza and drinks are also available for 10 or more guests, starting at just $300.
The snack bar opened July 4, while the Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. is currently shipping in the equipment necessary to open an on-site satellite brewery. Unique beers will be available at the location, but until then their standbys and seasonals are already available. A patio and full service restaurant will be opening in the same complex, complete with docks allowing customers to boat right up to the eatery.
Directly above Spins Hudson is Lanza’s new venue The Factoria, a 14,000 square foot event space overlooking the Hudson, perfect for catered gatherings and more formal, laser-tag-optional get-togethers.
