Brad Worthington has joined Pound Ridge Golf Club as Director of Instruction, a new position at the Pete Dye design that celebrated its tenth anniversary last year.
“We’re thrilled Brad is bringing his exceptional reputation and expertise to Pound Ridge,” says Ken Wang, owner of Pound Ridge. “He’s the ideal person to continue to help foster our commitment to excellence in golf instruction here at one of Pete Dye’s most thrilling public courses to play in the country.”
In 2016, Worthington was named the “Met Section PGA Professional of the Year.” Previously, he was director of golf at Trump Golf Links in New York City as well as head golf professional at both Brooklawn Country Club (Fairfield, CT) and Atlantic Golf Club (Bridgehampton, N.Y.).
Worthington served on the PGA National Diversity Committee in 2009 and 2010 and currently also serves as facilities advisor for the First Tee of Connecticut. He has been honored eleven times by Golf Digest in its annual “Best in State” instructor rankings.

Next year, Pound Ridge will host the MGA Public Links Championship, the oldest public golf course championship in the U.S. Pound Ridge joins a roster of highly acclaimed layouts as previous hosts including Bethpage Black, which just held the 2019 PGA Championship won by Brooks Koepka. The winner gains automatic entry into the 2020 Met Amateur.
