Our Nod to Westchester’s Best Bosses

Though many dream of being a boss, not everyone is cut out to be the one in charge. It’s a “heavy is the head” sort of thing. Bosses are responsible for so many things, of course—bottom lines, employee morale, employee growth, hiring, firing, and everything in between. Do it well, and it all seems to gel. Do it wrong, and, well, we all have one or two horrible-boss stories. Recognizing just how tough it is to lead, we chose to recognize those who do it best. So we held a nomination process—and employees came out in droves to sing the praises of their bosses. Sorting through the myriad nominations, we were looking for those that really stood out—those who made us contemplate career changes just to work for them. Here, you’ll read about 17 exceptional bosses—those who make their companies feel like families, bringing out the best in each employee while still nailing that bottom line, and so much more.
