Our Guide to Westchester County Spas: Rachele Rose Day Spa in Hartsdale

Why Go: It’s not flashy, glossy, or too serene, but just right: a quiet hideaway you’ve no doubt driven by a hundred times (it’s on Central Avenue above the Drexel Heritage furniture store on the left-side entrance). Though large—there are 10 treatment rooms, plus a sizeable lounge area—it’s been designed to be cozy and intimate, catering to discerning clients with a laid-back attitude that puts you at ease from the get-go. As you’re led into the changing area, you can’t help but notice the slight aroma of lightly scented rose oils (a signature of the spa), putting your mind and body on “mellow mode.”
What to Book: Personalization is a big part of the Rachele Rose Signature Massage experience ($125 for 60 minutes, $190 for 90 minutes), which uses firm finger and hand movements to ensure your de-stressed state lasts well into the next few days. Your therapist seems to know exactly where the aches and pains are, loosening knots you’d thought would never go away.
