Scarsdale private chef/culinary educator Jennifer Rossano, an International Culinary Arts Center alum who previously worked in the kitchen at Blum Center for Health in Rye Brook, is teaming up with Vintology Wine & Spirits in Scarsdale, for the in-store food and wine event Taste of Autumn on October 24 at 7:30 pm.

This is the fifth installment of the wine store’s Organic: From Kitchen to Vineyard series; the evening includes a chef cooking demo, a four-course meal paired with organic wines, plus conversation about the evolving landscape of sustainable and organic food and winemaking.

On the menu: crostini (white bean, roasted garlic/sage/maple-glazed squash, caramelized onion/fresh ricotta); fennel, pear, and arugula salad dressed in a warm walnut-shallot vinaigrette; herb-crusted salmon with celery root and rutabaga mash; braised chicken thighs and spicy wilted greens; and for dessert maple-bourbon baked apples.
