Westchester’s former Ritz-Carlton gets a new name as part of the Marriott Autograph Collection, along with a stunning interior.
What was once the Ritz-Carlton New York has now transformed to an equally elevated, upscale hotel now known as The Opus, Westchester, part of parent company Marriott’s high-end Autograph Collection of hotels. The Opus, Westchester, is set to open its doors this April, just thirty-five minutes away from the heart of New York City.
Stepping into the lobby, The Opus immediately captures the elegance of an inviting retreat in Westchester, along with a rich urban experience throughout the property. From modern accents to the eclectic tones and textures of sleek materials, the lobby offers a luxurious yet approachable setting for guests to easily relax and mingle. The warm tones of the furniture and glowing gold-leafed chandelier above set the perfect scene for guests to feel intimate and grounded.
“Whether a local resident looking for cocktails and conversation, a business traveler seeking a place to unwind after a long day of meetings, or a day tripper escaping the fast-paced city life, The Opus will deliver interest, seduction, and a vibrant energy at every turn,” says General Manager Elizabeth Andrews.
The hotel will feature 146 guest rooms, including 38 luxury suites. Stepping into the residential-style retreat, the spacious and well-appointed rooms feature wood floors, luxurious interior design, and modern decorative pieces. However, if you find yourself craving a tropical oasis, no problem! The hotel’s rooftop pool has got you covered, offering 360-degree views as well as activities from water fitness to poolside mediation.
The Opus also includes 10,000 square feet of event space perfect for a variety of functions including weddings, fundraisers, business meetings, and more. Each event space features its own personality and can be transformed for multiple layouts and functions. From floor-to-ceiling window views to contemporary designs and spacious rooms, The Opus truly has everything you need in an upscale environment.
The Opus will also not only be a comfortable retreat for guests, but will play an important role in the growth and revival of White Plains as a modern city center in the heart of Westchester. The name ‘Opus’ refers to both a musical composition and an artistic work. The newly revamped hotel is excited to share its values for creativity, art, and ambiance with its guests in the center of White Plains.
