If we had only three words to describe oHHo, Bedford’s cannabis wellness retailer, they’d be “cheeky, quirky, quality.” Basically a boutique in terms of style and swank, it’s the place to turn to for everything from edibles to topicals. If you’re hoping to add an herbal option to your (or your pet’s) treatment plan for achiness, anxiety, depression, and/or insomnia, look no further than oHHo’s sunny, plant-filled retail space on Court Road; you’ll be glad you did.
The brainchild of cofounders Nicola and James Stephenson, oHHo carries full-spectrum CBD products, which contain tetrahydrocannabinol (say that three times fast!), aka THC. It’s the cannabinoid behind the pleasant “high” that’s garnered CBD so many fans, making it, essentially, the MVP of CBD. oHHo has also developed a line of THC products that is available in many of New York State’s dispensaries (with any luck, there will be one in Westchester soon, says Nicola).
From the outset, visual appeal has been an integral part of the oHHo concept. The Bedford store’s quirky and bohemian, yet design-forward, appearance makes for the kind of shop where one could lose track of time (in the best way). The vibe is both cool and unique but without a try-hard vibe. It’s fitting, then, that products designed to make you feel beautifully relaxed would be on display in a commensurately beautiful space — a synergy of form and function that yields a resonant retail experience, effortlessly cohesive in its effect.
Much of the company’s success can be attributed to the good energy of its locale. “We moved to Westchester permanently during the pandemic, and we have been overwhelmed by the community spirit and positive reception,” says Nicola.
