Support Support Connection with Shine Salon
Lorraine Frustace and her staff at Shine Salon and Spa (161 Main St, Ossining, 914-762-6675) are taking part in a “12 Weeks of Giving” campaign to benefit Support Connection, Inc., a non-profit organization serving women affected by breast and ovarian cancer. From now through December 19, Shine customers can feel even better about indulging in luxury treatments and purchasing specialty products, as a portion of the proceeds will be donated to this worthy organization. Special events include:
October 14: “Blow Dry Boot Camp.” Bring your own blow dryer and learn how to blow dry your hair like a professional. The full $35 cost will be donated to Support Connection.
October 24 and November 21: “Cut-A-Thon” Days. Make an appointment for service either of these days and half of the proceeds from all booked hair services will be donated to Support Connection. During these two events, patrons can participate in Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program, in which people donate eight to10 inches of their hair to create free, real-hair wigs for women who’ve lost their hair due to cancer.
