NYC Amateur Stewart Hagestad Takes Mittelmark Trophy At Fenway

After waiting out an interminable rain delay at Fenway GC this Tuesday, Stewart Hagestad posted a 4-under 66, winning the Mittelmark crystal by three strokes. The California native lives in Manhattan now and was playing the tournament in preparation for his appearance in the US Amateur next week at Olympia Fields in Chicago.

Four players tied for second with 69s: Luke Feehan of Mahopac, Will Bernstein from Century, Cory Birch from Silver Spring, and Sleepy Hollow’s Cameron Young.  They were the only players in red figures.

Young, who won the MGA’s Ike Championship this year, will be competing in the US Amateur as well, having made the quarter finals last year before losing to the eventual winner, Gunn Yang.
