After Sam Pezzullo worked with companies ranging from Amazon and YouTube to Paramount while at the now defunct Thinkmodo, he knew he had a talent for drawing clicks. Videos he created with the company earned more than 900 million views and garnered Pezzullo industry awards and a wealth of media coverage. With his new venture Mostly, Inc., Pezzullo hopes to take all he has learned and apply it to a cutting-edge media company with a unique focus.
“I decided to start my own company, which will hopefully allow me to continue doing what we did at Thinkmodo, while also expanding to produce other types of original entertainment content that I’m passionate about,” says Pezzullo, who was selected in 2016 as one 914INC.’s Westchester Wunderkinds. “Mostly, Inc. is an entertainment media group that will produce various types of content across different divisions. These will include Mostly Branded and Mostly Shareable, which focus on creating branded promotional videos and newsworthy social content for clients.”

Pezzullo adds that the division Mostly Experiential will specialize in live stunts and event marketing activations. “For these types of projects, Mostly, Inc. would operate as a full-service agency and handle all aspects of a campaign from the ideation to the production and the distribution,” he explains. “We will also offer strategic and creative consulting to other agencies and brands looking to create viral content.”
And Pezzullo still has yet other divisions in mind. “Other divisions include Mostly Unscripted, which will develop and produce documentary and reality TV projects, and Mostly Narrative, which will focus on original scripted film, TV, and digital media projects,” says Pezzullo. “Our first original project is a podcast called Mostly Unscripted: The Podcast, which is currently available on iTunes/Apple Podcasts. I also have plans to expand into other forms of media in the future.”
Ahead, Pezzullo says he also plans to develop a number of branded video concepts that can be proactively pitched to companies in the hopes of landing a project. “My strategy is to leverage the huge success and effectiveness of our work at Thinkmodo and all of those skills and experiences to sell myself and these ideas to brands or agencies,” he notes. Pezzullo has also recently launched a new website for the company.
With so many irons on the fire, Mostly, Inc.’s future looks bright. “I see lots of exciting projects and opportunities in my future,” says Pezzullo. “Given my past success and the huge demand for the types of content I am able to produce, I believe this is a very viable and scalable business venture and I hope to spend the next phase of my career shaping this into a global media brand while getting to do what I love and fulfill lifelong career goals.”
