On February 14, love will be in the air, and on the ground, literally. Leslie Lampert, whose signature farm-to-table restaurant Café of Love and takeout soup and sandwich store Ladle of Love are well respected, especially throughout Mount Kisco and the rest of northern Westchester, will make her debut in south county with a second location of the soup store in Bronxville.

“I fell in love with Bronxville about five years ago,” Lampert recalls. “I looked for years [for a space] but couldn’t find anything. I was very picky.”
Located at 18 Palmer Avenue, directly across the street from Lawrence Hospital, Ladle of Love will offer the same handcrafted specialty soups (look for favorites Harvest Celebration and vegetarian dumpling) made with fresh, local ingredients served in the Mount Kisco shop. The 170-sq ft space will offer takeout and delivery only, which will be available throughout the day.
“Ladle of Love is all about honest food that is locally sourced,” says Lampert. “Our new store will feature six homemade soups and stews, an oatmeal bar, and our macaroni and cheese daily, along with salads, panini, and wraps. In order to maintain consistency, our soups, macaroni and a few other items will be made in our Mount Kisco store and delivered to Bronxville three times a day.”

The restaurant will also offer a variety of small bites such as trios of mini sandwiches, chicken wings, omelets, and yogurt parfaits.
