Let’s not kid ourselves—“healthy” smoothies are rarely, if ever, as delicious as they are good for you. So, to remedy that, we asked our friends at MindBodyPlate for a body-conscious recipe that readers would enjoy. Here’s what they came up with. It balances the kale/spinach “grassiness” with creamy avocado, sweet banana, and icy frozen strawberries. Berry Green Smoothie (makes 1-2 servings)
2 large handfuls of kale and/or spinach
1/4 of an avocado
1/2 banana
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 tablespoon almond butter
1 cup almond milk
1 cup water
