The Fine Men’s Salon of Westchester in Mamaroneck takes self-care and beautification to the next level — offering upscale grooming services in a relaxed, yet refined environment. Owner Carmela Kinnally opened the salon in 2016, after she noticed a gap in the beauty market and the overlooked demographic within it.
“I felt that there was a need for men to have professional grooming services in an upscale environment geared specifically toward men,” says Kinnally, “I believed that men deserved a place of their own where they can feel comfortable and be surrounded by a warm and friendly atmosphere with the best stylists and barbers in the industry.”
Clients can choose from an extensive list of services, from haircuts, and shaves starting at $16, to beard grooming and coloring. The salon’s spa options include manis/pedis, scalp treatments, waxing and facials. Kinnally says the salon focuses on the client’s total experience, not just the finished product. She says, “The experience at our salon is all about being positive and happy, ensuring that each and every guest leaves looking and feeling their best!” With their grooming services, clients can enjoy a complimentary spirit, coffee, or beverage.
The salon caters to men of all ages, as students 18 and under can receive a discount on services from Tuesdays through Thursdays, while distinguished gentlemen over the age of 65 enjoy a discount on all services every day of the week. The salon has continued to grow tremendously since its start, with Kinnally crediting this to the loyalty of their patrons and the relationships they form with their stylists and members of the salon team. Although there are no concrete plans to expand immediately, Kinnally says there has been discussion of where to set up shop next.
