Aritzia at The Westchester
For fashion devotees, the personal-style blogger is a celeb category all its own. (Confession: I silently squealed to myself when I ran into Song of Style’s Aimee Song outside of the Rebecca Taylor show this past February.) This Saturday, meet a verified all-star of the genre, impeccable-look-spinner Danielle Bernstein—the trés-cool New Yorker behind fashion cult-followed WeWoreWhat—at The Westchester mall, where she’s hosting a styling event at the brand-new Aritzia store. Expect shopping, selfies, treats, and personal style advice from Bernstein herself.
The county debut of the fashion-forward women’s apparel retailer (catering to “a feminine, youthful, cultured and social customer,” according to its camp) joins in-state posts in SoHo and on Fifth Avenue. A focus on quality trend designs dictates the store’s collection of exclusive brands as well as its stable of high-end lines like Rag & Bone, Alexander Wang, and Cutler and Gross, plus exclusive Mackage pieces. Look out for glass-globe chandeliers, “art walls” inspired by arts and crafts, and “mystical landscapes” and video installations at the new “personable luxury”-themed locale.
