Our Healthcare Heroes
These 10 exemplary individuals have made helping others their singular calling in life. They may be your neighbors, your healthcare providers, or leaders in the communities where you live and work. Either way, they are the pillars of our community and a key factor in the quality of life we have come to expect in Westchester County. We are privileged to have them among us and we are honored to showcase them to the community they serve.
Our Method
We receieved upwards of 100 Healthcare Heroes nominations this year, submitted by family, friends, coworkers, managers, and even hospital CEOs and presidents. That collection was vetted down to approximately 40 of the strongest nominees, representing many providers of healthcare, including nurses, therapists, first responders, volunteers, business people, and even an attorney. From this select group, our five judges independently selected their 10 top candidates, with two to three “alternates.” From this group, points were awarded to each, and the 10 top point-earners were declared winners.
