At Altium Wealth in Purchase, Maria Bronzi and her team are experts at bringing clarity to the complicated financial lives of their high-achieving clients. “We take the time to get to know them and what is important to them — not only what their financial goals are but what their life goals are,” says Bronzi. “We ensure their entire financial world is in line with their vision of their world.”
Bronzi joined the firm three years ago, after more than 20 years in banking. In her role, she builds partnerships with accounting firms that want to offer wealth-management services to their clients and has already attracted two of the top-50 accounting firms in the country. Bronzi has also created a metric system that has helped to define Altium’s sources of revenue and implemented sales processes and procedures that have helped the 35-employee firm build assets under management by 30 percent.
Although women tend to be underrepresented in wealth management, Bronzi says it’s a comfortable environment for her: She grew up in a household with five brothers (and one sister).
Bronzi also volunteers extensively and is chairman of the board for the Food Bank for Westchester, where she has coordinated a national search for a new CEO and balanced the budget. Raised by a single mother in a home where money was very tight, she is a passionate advocate. “Hard work and really caring for people make all the difference,” she says.
