Corporate Green
More than 500 people attended ArtsWestchester’s 45th annual gala. Held at the 28,000-square-foot JPMorgan Chase Hangar at the Westchester County Airport, the black-tie affair celebrated the sustainability of the arts and the environment. Honored as leading corporate citizens in both the environmental and cultural areas were two Westchester corporations: Reckson, a commercial real estate company, and Swiss Re, a global re-insurance company. “These companies understand that preserving a community’s natural environment, as with preserving the cultural landscape, requires an ongoing commitment through the ups and downs of economic cycles,” says ArtsWestchester CEO Janet T. Langsam. The evening began with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by dinner by Abigail Kirsch and dancing.

Our 10th-Year Anniversary Bash
Oh what a party! Swanky restaurant 42 at the top of the Ritz tower. Special grapefruit martini cocktails. Tender lamb chops and dainty ceviche appetizers. Any wonder 300-plus came to celebrate Westchester mag’s 10th year? And though we didn’t receive any sapphire jewelry, we got a swelled head by the evening’s end. You love us. You really, really love us!
