White Plains Hospital Awarded Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award
On June 1st, for the twelfth year in a row, White Plains Hospital was recognized with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines – Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. The hospital is required to treat stroke patients in a timely fashion while also guaranteeing they are treated with the appropriate treatment. White Plains Hospital has also succeeded in becoming one of the hospitals to successfully meet the requirements of the Association’s Target: Stroke SM Honor Roll. The hospital has also succeeded in shortening the treatment time of stroke patients.

Northern Westchester Hospital Wins CEO Cancer Gold Standard Award For Fifth Year
Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH) has been recognized with the CEO Cancer Gold Standard for their exceptional work fighting cancer. This is the hospital’s fifth year receiving the award as well as remaining the only hospital since 2012 within Westchester County to receive the award. The CEO Cancer Gold Standard Award honors organizations that work to fight cancer within their workplace. Kerry Flynn Barrett, Vice President of Human Resources at NWH states, “We are honored to receive this re-accreditation for the fifth time. Regeneron Pharmaceuticals included on The Civic 50 for Community Work
The Civic 50 has included Regeneron Pharmaceuticals on their lists for companies that work to aid the area community. Northern Westchester Hospital Named Breast Imaging Center of Excellence
American College of Radiology’s (ACR) Commission on Quality and Safety, and the Commission on Breast Imaging announced Northern Westchester Hospital in Yorktown Heights, NY, has been awarded a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. Stefanie B. Zalsin, MD, a board certified diagnostic radiologist and site director at Yorktown Imaging states, “Our mission is to provide comprehensive care using the latest technology in a comfortable, compassionate environment.” The recognition affirms the hospital’s state-of-the-art technology and the techniques used, including immediate feedback, scheduled meetings with a radiologist following mammograms or sonograms, and access to a wide range of experts.
