White Plains Hospital Awarded Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award

On June 1st, for the twelfth year in a row, White Plains Hospital was recognized with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines – Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. The hospital is required to treat stroke patients in a timely fashion while also guaranteeing they are treated with the appropriate treatment. White Plains Hospital has also succeeded in becoming one of the hospitals to successfully meet the requirements of the Association’s Target: Stroke SM Honor Roll. The hospital has also succeeded in shortening the treatment time of stroke patients.

 

Merrill Lynch’s Number 31 on Forbes America’s Top Next-Generation Wealth

Area advisor Jacob Dunn placed 31st on Forbes first ever list, “America’s Top Next-Generation Wealth Advisors.” The list acknowledge Dunn who grew up in Hartsdale and is now, a wealth management advisor at Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group in New York City first joined the company in 2008. His main priorities are guaranteeing his clients’ wants and needs come first.

Northern Westchester Hospital Wins CEO Cancer Gold Standard Award For Fifth Year

Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH) has been recognized with the CEO Cancer Gold Standard for their exceptional work fighting cancer. This is the hospital’s fifth year receiving the award as well as remaining the only hospital since 2012 within Westchester County to receive the award. The CEO Cancer Gold Standard Award honors organizations that work to fight cancer within their workplace. Kerry Flynn Barrett, Vice President of Human Resources at NWH states, “We are honored to receive this re-accreditation for the fifth time. It is a testament to our commitment to staff health and wellness, and to our staffs active engagement in a range of wellness activeness and programs that are offered in collaboration with our Wellness Committee.”

Brian M. Mittman Receives Top Injured Worker’s Attorney Award

Managing Partner and Owner of Markhoff and Mittman P.C. in White Plains, Brian M Mittman was recognized as one of the nation’s “Top Injured Worker’s Attorney” by Worker’s Injury Law & Advocacy Group. The non-profit group is an invitation only association, recognizing the best Attorneys who work to serve injured workers and their families. Markhoff and Mittman P.C., otherwise known as The Disability Guys, were founded in 1933. Mittman and his partners strive to work together in order to help those who have been injured or suffered an accident receive compensation. “For the past 24 years, I have strived to provide the highest level of care and attention to all of our clients so they can obtain the benefits they deserve and continue with their day-to-day lives,” states Mittman. “It is a privilege to receive this acknowledgement from The Worker’s Injury Law & Advocacy Group.”

Jennifer Barrett Receives MM&M Women to Watch Award

Jennifer Barrett, MS, has exceeded her role as Associate Director, Client Services and Director, and Business Development of AXON Communications. Mario Nacinovich, Managing Partner of AXON and leading of the U.S. healthcare practice describes her as, “…our true ‘Wonder Woman’.” He goes on to say, “She epitomizes leadership, persistence, and resilience for our clients and our U.S. team in all aspects of her work. Regeneron Pharmaceuticals included on The Civic 50 for Community Work

The Civic 50 has included Regeneron Pharmaceuticals on their lists for companies that work to aid the area community. Regeneron is involved in the community programs through sponsorship of the Science Talent Search as well being a part of local initiatives for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Regeneron has graciously pledged $100 million over 10 years. Northern Westchester Hospital Named Breast Imaging Center of Excellence

American College of Radiology’s (ACR) Commission on Quality and Safety, and the Commission on Breast Imaging announced Northern Westchester Hospital in Yorktown Heights, NY, has been awarded a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. Stefanie B. Zalsin, MD, a board certified diagnostic radiologist and site director at Yorktown Imaging states, “Our mission is to provide comprehensive care using the latest technology in a comfortable, compassionate environment.” The recognition affirms the hospital’s state-of-the-art technology and the techniques used, including immediate feedback, scheduled meetings with a radiologist following mammograms or sonograms, and access to a wide range of experts.
