From November 16 to 18, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, the Valhalla-based member of the Westchester Medical Health Network, will overtake 100.7 FM to raise funds for their lifesaving programs. One hundred percent of all proceeds from the 12th Annual Radiothon for the Kids will benefit the treatment of children with life-threatening conditions ranging from cancer to heart disease.
According to Andy LaGuardia, director of communications for WMCHealth and Maria Fareri Children’s Hosptial, “The 100.7 WHUD Radiothon For the Kids…is the highest profile and most significant fundraising event for the hospital each year. It’s significance stems from the widespread support of the hospital shown by the community during the Radiothon.”
LaGuardia adds that earlier this year a new suite with cutting-edge imaging technologies opened at Fareri. “This imaging suite was paid for, in part, by generous donations made by our thoughtful Hudson Valley community — local businesses and area families —during past Radiothon events,” he explains. “One-hundred percent of all donations made through the Radiothon effort stay right here in the Hudson Valley and aid us in our mission to care for local children battling complex medical challenges.”
Those hoping to provide a donation during the live Radiothon can call (888) 499-5437, or make a secure, online donation at www.whud.com. Online donations are also being accepted prior to and during the event.
