Liz and Fred Tampasis's Wedding Portrait with a Wooden Ampersand

As magazine editors, we’re suckers for good punctuation. So when we saw Liz and Fred Tampasis posing with an ampersand before their reception at the Dutchess Manor in Beacon, we were immediately charmed. What better way to announce that you’re a new Mr. & Mrs.? “One of my best friends saw something like it on Pinterest, and we both really liked it,” Liz explains. “Her dad is into woodworking, so he made it for us. We thought the red was a nice pop of color. We wanted to introduce some playfulness into our photo session, and [photographer] Jade [O’Connell] was just as excited to incorporate it into our shots. She said she should bring it to other weddings as a prop.”
