Rustic weddings are plentiful in the Hudson Valley, but we love the cool, laid-back vibe of Anna and Olga’s Catskills celebration. The brides, who met in a Russian Club while studying at NYU, kept things simple from Anna’s chic lace jumpsuit to the minimalist bottles of wildflowers running down the center of each table. “We wanted to take full advantage of the natural beauty of the venue and make it the focal point,” say the brides. One thing not strictly country: the bottles of Stolichnaya vodka that paid tribute to the brides’ Russian heritage and served as table numbers. What was the most memorable part of the day? According to Anna, “It would probably be watching all our friends and family come together to celebrate our union and tear it up on the dance floor!”

Assemble a really fantastic team of vendors. Take your time interviewing and getting to know the people who will be with you leading up to the big day. You want people who are passionate about what they do, understand and share your vision for your wedding, and are a pleasure to be around.
