Two Bronxville Brokers Named CoStar Power Brokers

Jonathan Gordon and Joan Simon, brokers with Admiral Real Estate Services Corp in Bronxville, have both been named CoStar Power Broker by CoStar Group, commercial real estate’s leading independent research firm. This annual award recognizes the “best of the best” in commercial real estate brokerage. Gordon and Simon qualified as top brokers in the Westchester / Connecticut commercial real estate market based on the total leasing transactions each closed during the year.
In order to be selected for this honor, Gordon and Simon were measured against commercial real estate brokers active in the region by CoStar Group and subsequently ranked among the top brokers in the market. Simon also received this Power Broker award in 2011, and Gordon has received the award every year since 2010.
Greyston Foundation Honors The Westchester Bank
At its 2014 Annual Benefit next month, The Greyston Foundation—a Yonkers-based organization that runs the Greyston Bakery and provides jobs and services for the hard-to-employ—will honor The Westchester Bank for its support. The Bank has played an active role over the years with the Foundation and was a critical partner in Greyston’s restructuring to meet growth demands of the organization. John Tolomer, President & CEO of The Westchester Bank will accept the award. Greyston will also honor Joe Armentano, CEO and Board Chairman of Paraca Gas Corporation, and Lucy Moreno-Casanova, Greyston’s Community Gardens Coordinator and recipient of the 2014 Bernie Glassman PathMaking Award. The benefit takes place on May 21 at X2O Xaviars on the Hudson.
Three Westchester Allstate Agents Reach the “Summit”
Three Westchester Allstate Insurance Company exclusive agency owners have qualified for Allstate’s Summit Club, a special statewide initiative designed to award agency owners who are dedicated to growing their local business, maintaining a presence in the community, and improving the overall customer experience. The Summit Club inductees are: Ralph Borsella, a 29-year Allstate veteran whose agency is in Rye; Frank Campo, of Hastings-on-Hudson, who has been an Allstate agent for 20 years; and Tarrytown agency owner, Owen Cosgrove, who has worked for Allstate for 15 years. According to Jim Clark, New York Territorial Sales Leader at Allstate, the three are prime candidates for Allstate’s Summit Club because of their “exemplary dedication to customers and businesses in their communities.”
Prestigious GM of the Year Award Goes to Tarrytown Hilton Manager

Rich Friedman, who has been General Manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown since its re-opening in 2007, recently won the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s (AH&LA) Stars of the Industry Award for General Manager of the Year, Medium Property. Friedman and other award winners were honored for their outstanding accomplishments, service and leadership in the lodging industry at a special ceremony held in Washington, D.C. It was the second major hospitality industry award that Friedman has won this year. In March, he was honored with the New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association’s “Outstanding GM of the Year” Award. In winning the AH&LA award, Friedman was cited for leading his team from the grand re-opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown seven years ago to becoming one of the most successful full-service hotels in Westchester.
