Wartburg Nursing Home Recognized for Outstanding Achievement
Wartburg has recently been recognized with numerous honors. These include the Legacy Award from the Westchester County Chapter of the Links as well as a 2016 Telly Award for Excellence in Documentary for a segment on PBS’s Visionaries series highlighting their award-winning, internationally recognized arts-based program, Creative Aging & Lifelong Learning. Wartburg’s nursing home administrator received the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award from the American College of Health Care Administrators and Wartburg was also named one of the “Best Nursing Homes in New York State” by U.S. News & World Report for the sixth consecutive year.
Heineken’s Tara Rush Named a “40 Under 40” Recipient by PRWeek
Tara Rush, SVP, Chief Corporate Relations Officer at Heineken USA (headquartered in White Plains), was just named a 2016 “40 Under 40” recipient by PRWeek. The award from PRWeek honors 40 professionals under the age of 40 who are making outstanding contributions to the communications industry and who are viewed as emerging leaders. Described as a “dynamic and collaborative leader” with contagious energy, Tara has been commended for motivating those around her while pioneering new ways to elevate Heineken USA. This includes embedding a fully integrated team, from marketing to HR and sales to business intelligence. Tara is making renovations to improve relationships and opportunities to advance the profile of Heineken USA’s brands. Tara’s corporate relations team is often recognized as one of the most high-performing teams in the organization. Tara also serves on the board for the Ad Council and The Business Council of Westchester.
New York-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital Receives Award for Stroke Care
NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award with Target: StrokeSM Honor Roll. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment to providing the most appropriate stroke treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines founded upon the latest scientific evidence. Hospitals must achieve 85 percent or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines-Stroke achievement indicators for two or more consecutive, 12-month periods and achieve 75 percent or higher compliance with five of eight Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Quality measures to receive the Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award.
White Plains Lawyer Named Trusts and Estates “Lawyer of the Year”
Elder law attorney Anthony J. Enea, managing partner at Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP, has been named the Best Lawyers 2017 Trusts and Estates “Lawyer of the Year” in White Plains. He has also been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 23rd edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the practice areas of Elder Law and Trusts and Estates. This marks the sixth consecutive year Enea has been included in the Best Lawyers list, and the third time he has received recognition as a “Lawyer of the Year” in White Plains. Enea has also been named as one of Westchester County’s “Super Lawyers” annually since 2007 and was recognized earlier this year with the Honorable Richard J. Daronco Distinguished Service Award from the Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester County.
White Plains Hospital Wins Several Awards
White Plains hospital won a handful of accolades recently, including the Excellence in Patience Care award for Excellence in Emergency Care from the Studer Group, a Huron Healthcare solution company focused on outcomes and performance improvement for healthcare organizations. The Hospital also received a CEO Cancer Gold Standard accreditation for a second consecutive year. The award recognizes the Hospital’s ongoing efforts to reduce cancer risks by cultivating the health and wellness of its employees and their families. Lastly, White Plains Hospital was recently named one of the most beautiful hospitals in the U.S.—the only New York hospital to receive this distinction—in a poll conducted by Solient Health. White Plains Hospital was nominated by a former patient, Brian Kerr of Mamaroneck, and the Hospital received 10,000 votes for creating a beautiful, serene, healing environment for its patients.
United Hebrew’s Home Health Agency Earns 4.5 Out of 5 Star CMS Rating
This month, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) rated United Hebrew’s Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) 4.5 stars out of 5, placing it in the top 12 percent in the nation, the top 6 percent of Medicare-certified agencies in New York State, and the highest-rated home health agency in Westchester County. Many patients and their families rely on the CMS star ratings to guide them when selecting a home health care provider. The ratings are driven by nine quality of care measures including how often the home health care staff initiated patient care, how often they provided education on medications taken, how often patients improved at walking, moving, and bathing themselves, and how often patients required acute care hospitalization, among others indicators. CHHA met several criteria 100 percent of the time, including how often the health team checked and treated patients’ pain, took steps to prevent bed sores, assessed patients’ risk of falling, and educated patients with diabetes on proper foot care.

In2Green Recognized by Home and Gift Industry for Sustainable Fabric
In2green, a leader in luxury sustainable home goods and accessories, has been awarded the coveted Icon Honor for Innovation. Hailed as the most anticipated and important night in the home and gift industry, Icon Honors took place Thursday, July 14 and was produced by AmericasMart Atlanta, in exclusive partnership with the Gift & Home Trade Association (GHTA) and Progressive Business Media and in affiliation with Gift For Life. In2green was recognized for its recycled polyester knit fabric, which is used to create its indoor/outdoor line. Launched at the end of 2015 and made in America, this unique polyester is manufactured with recycled yarns exclusively made from post-consumer plastic bottles. In2green is on track to recycle more than 100,000 bottles by the end of this year.
