Billionaire Bill Gates’ daughter tied the knot at the family’s North Salem equestrian farm, with a custom Vera Wang dress and elegance galore.
With around $134 billion, Bill Gates probably wasn’t worried about footing his bill as father of the bride. This October, Bill and Melinda Gates’ daughter Jennifer married her longtime partner Nayel Nassar at the couple’s 124-acre North Salem equestrian farm and, as one might expect, the celebration was absolute magic.
Now 25, Jennifer Gates is currently a third-year MD candidate at the Icahn School of Medicine Mount Sinai and an avid equestrian. Nassar, 30, is the son of Egyptian parents, born in Illinois and raised in Kuwait, and shares his new wife’s love of horses. He is currently ranked 44th in the world in show jump and just competed in his first Olympics in Tokyo for the Egyptian national team.

The couple opted for a double ceremony — first an Islamic Katb el Kitab ceremony on Friday with just the couple’s closest families, and then a main civil ceremony on Saturday with about 300 honored guests — at the couple’s North Salem equestrian farm. Bill Gates purchased the farm, “Evergate Stables,” for his daughter via a trust back in 2018. For the nuptials, massive solarium-style structures were built to accommodate the happy couple and all their guests (all of whom were vaccinated and received negative COVID tests prior to attending).

“Planning a wedding while I was in medical school rotations and Nayel was preparing for the Olympics was no small feat,” Jennifer told Vogue. “But it was so worth it to share such a special day with those closest to us. We feel so grateful for everyone involved who kept us on track and helped make our vision come to life.”

All that planning paid off, as the looks at the Westchester ceremony were utterly flawless. Jennifer wore a custom A-line gown from Vera Wang Haute in ivory with hand-applied French macramé lace and Italian tulle skirt (with a matching veil). She worked directly with Wang herself to create the custom piece. Nassar complemented his bride handsomely in a classic black Armani tuxedo, matching his boutonniere to the bride’s bouquet: Lily of the Valley.

After exchanging their own vows, the happy couple retired to the party space with their guests for a grand celebration. The bride changed into a more movement-friendly gown (also from Vera Wang Haute) for the couple’s first dance, “Yellow Lights” by Harry Hudson, which the singer performed in person, being a close friend of the couple.

Pound Ridge favorite Jean-George supplied a world-class dinner, along with Creative Edge Catering, before the newlyweds cut into a six-tiered cake adorned elegantly with barely blushing pink-tinged flowers.
