In honor of our newly minted 44th president, The King Street Salon in Chappaqua is offering first time clients a 44 percent discount on services every Monday for the first 100 days of President Barak Obama’s administration.
“We know that these are stressful times for a lot of people who have lost their jobs and others who are trying to cut back just in case,” said Rosemary Filancia who owns the King Street Salon with husband Charles Fremolaro. “But we believe it’s important for people to feel good about themselves, especially those who are looking for new jobs. And one of the surest ways to feel good is to look good!”
The couple, who live in Chappaqua with their daughter, have been collaborators professionally and personally for over 25 years. Rosemary, a hair-colorist and Charles, a stylist, are two of Manhattan’s most sought after hair care wizards splitting their time between the Rosario Acquista Salon on the Upper East Side and their Chappaqua salon that they opened in 2002.
“Great condition is paramount,” Filancia says. “We use the best products from Italy that condition as well as color. You will never have dry, brittle hair from the process that I use.” Similarly Charles styles hair that his clients can ‘wash and wear’. “If you can’t duplicate the look at home, it’s the wrong style for you,” he explains. “What’s the purpose of having a great look that lasts for two days? I want my clients to look and feel great from appointment to appointment.”
We agree. Hail to the new chief!
