Fleet Week at Glen Island

The United Veterans Memorial & Patriotic Association of New Rochelle is holding its annual barbecue and concert at Glen Island Park on Memorial Day from 1 pm to 7 pm. This year, the group is working together with NYC’s Fleet Week to bring four US Marine Corp aircraft to the park. Visitors can meet active duty personnel and get up close to the aircraft (and even climb inside for photos).

Memorial Day Fair and Races

The 39-year-old tradition sponsored by the South Salem Presbyterian Church starts with a series of races, including a 10K, 5K, and the popular Pee Wee race for kids. Afterward, enjoy the old-fashioned country-fair vibe with live music (Pastor Chip Andrus is an accomplished musician), traditional fair food, children’s games, a variety of vendors, and a silent auction to benefit charity.
