Held annually at Rockland Community College in Suffern, the career event invites students to learn about construction-related opportunities.

The construction contracting community joins with organized labor each year for an annual Hudson Valley Construction Career Day for students to discover skill-building activities and learn about well-paying career opportunities. Held at Rockland Community College in Suffern, the expo brings together trade-industry experts who talk with students about diverse careers in construction and the building trades as well as the advantages of apprenticeship training. Union representatives and private-sector companies work with the teens in hands-on skill-building demonstrations such as welding, carpentry, and soldering. The event is co-hosted by the Construction Industry Council and the Building Contractors Association of Westchester & Mid-Hudson, Inc. For more information, visit www.cicbca.org/resources.
