How Environmentally Conscientious Golfers Celebrate Earth Day

Here’s a golf stat you won’t hear on the Golf Channel: 4.5. That’s the number of balls the average golfer loses PER ROUND, according to former PGA Tour player Gary Krueger, CEO of PG Professional Golf, the parent company of recycler Lost Golf Balls

“Each of these can take more than 100 years to decompose,” says Krueger. “We are committed to environmental conservation and removing these balls from ponds, forests and other eco-systems found on golf courses and getting them cleaned and ready to be used again.”

His company has announced a special promotion in celebration of Earth Day (April 22), to encourage golfers to use recycled balls. From now through Monday, April 25, customers receive free shipping on any order over $74.

In 2015,  Lost Golf Balls sold nearly 50 million recycled golf balls. Golfers are attracted not only by the environmentally-conscientious nature of the purchase but by their ability to purchase name brand product at a fraction of MSRP prices. These “like new” balls have been independently tested and proven to perform identically to their new counterparts. Golfers can choose from a variety of top makes/models from Titleist, Callaway, Bridgestone, NIKE, TaylorMade, Srixon and more.

The company says it has sold more than 500 million golf balls since 1992.
