Westchester residents working remotely and families with homeschooled children can safely escape the norm at these properties offering extended stays.
As many have spent the last several months transforming their homes into so much more than living quarters — including home offices and play spaces — many are welcoming a change of scenery. But as travel plans have been squashed due to the coronavirus, luxury hotels are offering “keys” to their properties for extended stays. So, instead of sheltering in place in your living room this winter, do so at a beautiful waterfront resort.
Soak up the sun in a socially distanced environment at The Brazilian Court in Palm Beach. The intimate boutique hotel is offering long-term stays for one month — or up to five — from December to April 2021 (from $24,000 for the full duration). Access to every suite without entering the central lobby or elevators is possible. Contactless housekeeping and a medical concierge (for on-site COVID testing and vitamin drips) are available, as well as access to a private beachfront cabana with bathrooms, changing areas, lounge, and complimentary stocked minibar. For remote workers, the meeting facility has been transformed into a coworking space that has high-speed WiFi, partition pods, and a “Business Butler” to assist with printing, scanning, and notarizing. For a family-friendly getaway, The Brazilian Court offers twice-weekly off-site activities for fun and educational experiences for children.
For a closer-to-home escape, Baron’s Cove in Sag Harbor is offering monthly stays in addition to its seasonal stay. Village rooms with a private garden area, dog-friendly rooms, and spacious suites are available to book, starting at $99 per night.
The waterfront resort is within walking distance of the boutiques and restaurants in the Hamptons village.
