Jacksonville, FL-based 25-plus-location Woody’s Bar-B-Q (1789 Central Ave, Yonkers; 914.361.1300) has opened its first county outpost. Signature items include baby back ribs, The Sloppy Woody (barbecued pork sandwich), a Hawaiian burger topped with grilled pineapple, Southern-fried catfish, and a Texas beef-brisket sandwich. Other restaurant chains are set to have opened their second county locations by this month: P.F. Chang’s is bringing its lettuce wraps and Dynamite shrimp to Ridge Hill Shopping Center (1 Ridge Hill Blvd, Yonkers), and Shack Shack (353-371 Central Ave) is debuting in Hartsdale’s Dalewood Shopping Center.
Scheduled to open by sometime this month is Via Forno Wood Fired Pizza & Vinoteca (6-10 Garth Rd, Scarsdale) in a space that once housed a 7-Eleven — a certain upgrade.

The latest food truck you may see driving alongside you is the Westchester Burger Truck from co-owners Vincent Corso and Angelo DiFeo at Westchester Burger Co. (Rye Brook, White Plains, Mount Kisco, Stamford). Juicy house-blend patties served on homemade potato buns are the signatures but don’t forget about grilled chicken wings and Reuben spring rolls.
Hudson Valley Restaurant Week runs through November 11, with nearly 200 restaurants participating via three-course, prix-fixe lunch ($22.95) and dinner ($32.95) menus.
