A luxury cat resort and spa with themed rooms just opened its doors in Scarsdale, and it’s absolutely purr-fect.

Cats need not hang around witches, full moons, and magic spells any longer. Scarsdale’s Central Avenue welcomed a lavish cat-exclusive resort tailored to meet feline needs while owners are away. Catering to the 61 million cat parents in the US alone, The Happy Cat Hotel & Spa (happycathotel.com/westchester) is flipping the script on pet hotels by providing fully furnished suites with fun themes, as well as a host of amenities to locals’ prized kitties.

The Happy Cat Hotel & Spa is “nothing like traditional boarding,” owner and CFO, Christina Marrazza, says — it’s a home-away-from-home for the cats, an oasis where they are provided with an abundance of space, care, stimulation, and activity. The 25 suites are palatial and cozy, ranging from 30 to 60 square feet, and are personalized with themes, including Paris, the Grand Canyon, and Cape Cod. The exclusive spa offers grooming services to all cats, even those not staying at the hotel. Owners can order room service for their cats, who enjoy water fountains and all-natural litter during their stays.

Here, the groomers are specialized for cats only — no general pet groomers and especially no dog groomers — and all are devoted to keeping the feline visitors happy and healthy. The deluxe hotel not only strives to keep your beloved cat pampered and content, but also works to ensure safety and comfort with no cages, cubbies, or lack of affection.

Cat parents can enjoy worry-free vacations knowing their furry companion is safe with private, 24-hour webcams in each room as well as daily text messages with updates throughout a cat’s entire stay. “We take care of them like our own,” Marrazza says.
