The first NRP Group project in the county, The Halden is one of the latest buildings for top-notch design and sprawling amenities in Westchester.
An exit off of I-287 sits the famed Platinum Mile, a meeting place for industry, innovation, and luxury. Cue The Halden, the latest residential building in White Plains that brings together all of those qualities.
Breaking ground in 2020 along Westchester Avenue, developer The NRP Group is now transforming the 70-acre property that once housed the global headquarters of IBM. The mixed-use community is comprised of three five-story buildings and 303 market-rate apartments. Partnering with the Rye Brook-based commercial property management firm RPW Group, the new construction is adding a burst of life and revitalization back to a once vivacious property. “As long-time office building owners in the region, RPW Group is delighted to unveil its first multifamily development, The Halden,” said RPW President Andrew Weisz. “Alongside our partners, NRP Group, we are proud to offer such a high quality, centrally located, rental apartment complex in Westchester County that is full of outstanding amenities. The Halden is truly one of the first suburban live, work, play communities in the region.”
There has been no detail or expense overlooked at The Halden. Units range from one bedroom to three bedrooms and are contemporary designed, but with unique flourishes. All apartments come with stainless steel upgraded appliances, quartz counter-tops, pendant lighting, flat-panel cabinetry, and vinyl plank flooring. Select units come with their own balconies.
While the apartments themselves are built for comfort and luxury, the community also possesses that same feel. Shared amenities are extensive and foster more cohesiveness over compartmentalized living: telecommuting spaces, a pool, a club-style gym, a children’s playroom, and a courtyard with grilling stations. Not only is the property dedicated to being environmentally friendly, with solar panels sported on all three buildings, it is also a pet-friendly community. Just minutes away from downtown White Plains but surrounded by lush scenery, The Halden represents an ideal example of a re-imagined space — a balanced combination of privacy and close proximity to city life.
