Governor Cuomo Puts Westchester Home on the Market

When the kids move out, parents typically make the choice to downsize their living space. In putting their New Castle estate on the market, it seems New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and his longtime partner, Food Network star Sandra Lee, are making that same choice.

The pair put their 1950s Colonial estate on the market for $2.3 million, nearly twice what Lee bought it for in 2008. The three-acre property, located at 4 Bittersweet Lane, includes six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a duck pond, earning it a featured spot in various magazine profiles over the past decade.

In spite of the move, the couple won’t be short of options when it comes to deciding where they want to spend their time. They still have three different residences: Governor Cuomo’s Executive Mansion in Albany, Lee’s Battery Park City apartment in Manhattan, and a home in the Hamptons.

The couple has been quick to dispel rumors that their 14-year relationship is on the brink of collapse. According to the New York Times, Lee explained they simply “don’t need the house.” In a Facebook post from May 14, she added, “Andrew and I are still very much together after 14 years…. We keep our lives as private as possible.”

As for the future of the house, Lee has expressed her desire to sell it to another family that can enjoy “the most beautiful perfect house on this planet” the way hers did.
