Simulator golf is all the rage these days. Luckily, Westchester County has a number of facilities from which to choose.
It finally happened: Westchester now has more public simulator golf facilities than public daily-fee golf courses. The newest to open is Golfzon Social, which comes to Central Avenue in Scarsdale this spring. Operated by Troon Golf, the facility will have 16 bays using Golfzon’s simulator technology, which produces unmatched realism, detailed swing data, and a social media connection that allows easy competition in a variety of formats on over 100 real-to-life golf courses. The golf experience is extraordinarily complete, with swing plate variable ground settings and multi-surface hitting mats, so you’re making your swings on uneven lies and from (unfortunately realistic) simulated long rough or even sand. The visuals are so spooky-genuine that if your ball clips a tree limb, leaves will fall. Designed (as the name implies) for heavy-duty socialization, Golfzon Social will also offer immersive arcade games as well as a full-service sports bar and grill.

Game On Golf, White Plains: It’s outdoors, but the heated bays, with TopTracer technology, make year-round play easy and comfortable. Work on your game or play virtual courses right on the range. The facility has a large faculty of PGA teaching professionals for lessons too.
