Golfers suffering from divot deprivation and one-putt withdrawal will get relief soon. The Westchester county-owned courses will open for the season on Wednesday, March 15, weather and conditions permitting. You can reserve a tee time online or by telephone or in person at any of the six county courses.
Of course, Pound Ridge is already open, so you don’t really need to wait until next month to play. The Pete Dye masterpiece is just as challenging and fun when you’re wearing a couple of extra layers, but your ball may not travel as far in these conditions, so it’s highly advisable you move up a set of tees.

Game On Golf Center (formerly the Westchester Golf Range) in White Plains is open, too. It’s also under new ownership that’s working on a raft of changes that will improve your experience (if not your game). Accoutrements from the fence to the range targets are being replaced, new pros have been added to the staff, and DD Custom Golf is bringing its club fitting expertise to the facility.
The driving range at nearby Patriot Hills is open now, too, and the course promises to be open soon, although no date has been announced.
