GlenArbor’s Debbie Doniger To Broadcast US Open Coverage on Fox

Local star golf instructor moves from the lesson tee to in front of the camera at Chambers Bay.

Looking for a familiar face at the US Open at Chambers Bay? Check out Fox Sports 1 coverage, which will feature GlenArbor’s Debbie Doniger providing commentary on holes 12 and 15.  Doniger, who graced the cover of Westchester/Hudson Valley Magazine Golf in 2013, is no stranger to the microphone: she also hosts a weekly radio program, The Golfer Girls, with LPGA star Natalie Gulbis on Sirius XM. Doniger was also chosen as one of the 50 Most Beautiful Women in Golf by Golf Magazine last year.

Doniger’s media career is rapidly accumulating highlights, but it has some way to go before matching her accomplishments in the game of golf. The Greenwich, Connecticut native was a student of Jim McLean for 20 years and serves as a lead master instructor at his school in Miami during the off-season. She’s one of the Top 50 Golf Digest Instructors in the country and currently serves as the director of instruction at Bedford’s GlenArbor Club

As an amateur, Doniger won dozens of New York metro tournaments and was captain of the golf team at UNC at Chapel Hill during her junior and senior years. She led the Tar Heels to an ACC Championship and an eighth place finish in the NCAA Championships.

At the US Open, Doniger will be part of the team providing coverage of featured groups on Fox Sports 1 and the live streaming Fox Sports GO.
