Two Getaway locations are within two hours of Westchester, and can be a COVID-friendly, bucolic escape for a day or weekend.
Getaway Eastern Catskills (in Catskill, NY) and Getaway Western Catskills (the newer of the two, located in Roscoe, NY) are both less than a two-hour drive from White Plains. The tiny cabins on the properties provide an idyllic escape in a tree-surrounded setting to allow guests to slow down from busy routines, disconnect from work and technology, and reconnect with themselves and each other.
The Catskill location offers cabins spread out across 105 acres on two plots of land, while the Roscoe location cabins are spread out across 69 acres. While cabins are distanced, don’t fret total isolation; you will be near neighbors.
Accommodations include rooms with a queen bed for 1-2 guests, and others with queen bunk beds for 3-4 guests. The cabins feature rustic interiors, with fresh linens, pillows, a shower, electric toilet, heater, stove, and mini kitchen — not to mention full-length windows for unobstructed nature views (perfect for Instagram posts, but let’s be real — disconnecting is the whole point, no?). For safety amid the pandemic, rest assured there are 50-150 feet between cabins; there is no in-person interaction with site staff (contact-free check-in/check-out); staff have proper PPE; and there is deep-cleaning of the cabins for twice as long as was standard. Most guests travel to the locations via car.
