Depending how you approach it, Victoria’s Secret’s annual fashion show can be either the worst night of the year for your body image, or the kick in the stretchy pants you need to finally adopt that juice-cleanse/spinning regimen you’ve had on your to-do list since last year’s diamond-encrusted-bra debut.
Alternatively, I like to watch for sport, preferably while wearing oversized fleece and gorging on Oreos dipped in peanut butter. Sure, the spectacle’s volume of freakishly flawless figures is astounding, but I figure those girls are just that—one-percenters in a world of mostly modest-to-average-looking specimens. At least when it comes to bone structure, and height. And abdominals.
But while endless crunches may never make you or me leggy and Brazilian, that whole shimmering glamazon thing is a beauty ideal (somewhat) within reach. To create the runway look’s signature bouncy boudoir mane, luminous skin, and flirty face (sultry brown eyes; rosy, bronzed cheeks; and a balmy nude pout), Page and Orlando applied:
