New Rochelle Opera’s annual gala fundraiser honored Metropolitan Opera soprano Aprile Millo and about 200 guests helped raise donations supporting a summer production of Madama Butterfly.
Among the guests who came to The Fountainhead in New Rochelle were Maestro Anton Coppola, opera conductor and uncle of director Francis Ford Coppola; former gala honorees Elaine Malbin and Elinor Ross; and Marni Nixon (known as the singing voice of Deborah Kerr, Natalie Wood, and Audrey Hepburn in the The King and I, An Affair to Remember, West Side Story, and My Fair Lady, respectively).
