Fiture Offers Fitness for the Future at The Westchester

As the connected fitness market begins to crowd, Fiture makes its debut in Westchester as a high-tech exercise solution.

The fitness industry has ebbed and flowed with the times and the fads, coming a long way from iron barbells and Thighmasters. With many consumers craving a quality workout without franchise gym prices or inconveniences, in-home fitness technology, like Peloton and Tonal, has stepped into the center ring. The latest to hit the market is Fiture, an interactive home-fitness mirror equipped with first-of-its-kind motion-engine technology. As fate — or business savvy — would have it, the company has opened its first U.S. store in White Plains’ The Westchester.

Unlike similar products on the market, Fiture (a contraction of “fit for the future”) provides real-time feedback on exercise form, offering modifications and adjustments to users. “It allows you to work out correctly and effectively,” says Fiture instructor Taylor Rae Almonte-Roman. “Imagine having a personal trainer always at your disposal.” That proprietary technology, which uses motion sensors to correct form via instant feedback that appears on the screen, helps create a fully immersive fitness experience. And if your knee-jerk response is, “Another piece of furniture I’ll need to remove fingerprints from?” you’ll be relieved to learn that all selections are controlled by the industry’s first gesture-and-voice control, replacing the need for a touchscreen with a seamless, no-cleanup experience.

Bringing this type of tech to the States via the Westchester market was a no-brainer, says CEO Maggie Lu. “The best way for the customer to connect to our brand and the uniqueness of Fiture is through an immersive, live, in-store experience,” says Lu. “The Westchester provided us with the opportunity to deliver this experience to a community that embraces at-home fitness technology and best-in-class service.”

Class offerings include yoga, stretching, barre, Pilates, Cardio Sculpt, strength training, high-intensity interval training, boxing, and meditation. Fiture also tracks your reps, sets, and time, so you can stay in control and safe in the moment. There are also balance games for kids, helping the little ones understand the value of health at an early age.

The apparatuses start at $1,495 for the Fiture Core and $950 for the Fiture Mini. Like equipment in the same space, Fiture charges a monthly membership fee; however, at $39 per month, it comes in at a lower price point than competitors. Fiture also allows seven profiles per household, significantly more than the alternatives. The team is gearing up to bring more fitness into users’ homes, with new content drops each week.

“We know it can be tough,” says Lu. “Our mission is to democratize fitness, so anyone can develop a healthy lifestyle.”
